Our first trip with the new camper (an Rpod 271 with the widest bunkbeds, convertible queen dinette, largest tank volume, but lightest weight Rpod, even though it or the Canada trip, sans camper but with a full cooler, ruined our suspension in our Hyundai Santa Fe which was rated to pull 3500 lbs, well over the weight of the camper and full ice chest) was to Meridian State Park. The highlights of this park are the cute little peaceful no wake lake, the mostly wooded five mile hike around it, and the Civilian Conservation Corps buildings from The Great Depression. I love these stone arts and crafts era buildings in many Texas State Parks and appreciate the manual, pick-ax, grub earning labor that went into them.
